Nutella Tiramisu: The creamiest chocolate dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 200g heavy cream
  • 300g ladyfingers (Löffelbiskuit)
  • 350g espresso coffee
  • 500g mascarpone
  • 150g hazelnut cream (Nutella or similar)
  • 50g cold water

For Garnishing:

  • Hazelnut cream (Nutella or similar)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Coffee:
Start by brewing the espresso coffee. Once brewed, mix it with the cold water. This mixture should be at room temperature before using it to dip the ladyfingers. The combination of hot coffee and cold water helps create the perfect dipping consistency without making the ladyfingers soggy too quickly.

    2. Make the Mascarpone-Hazelnut Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and hazelnut cream (Nutella). Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend these two ingredients together until they form a smooth and creamy texture. The hazelnut cream adds a rich, chocolatey flavor that pairs beautifully with the mascarpone’s mild, creamy taste.

      3. Whip the Cream:
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. This will give the tiramisu its light, airy texture. You can use a hand mixer or a stand mixer for this step. Be careful not to overwhip the cream, as it can turn into butter.

        4. Combine the Mixtures:
Once the whipped cream is ready, gently fold it into the mascarpone-hazelnut mixture. This should be done slowly to maintain the airiness of the whipped cream. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined. The result will be a thick, creamy mixture that is the base for the tiramisu.

          5. Assemble the Tiramisu:
Take the ladyfingers and quickly dip them into the cooled coffee mixture. Be careful not to soak them too long, as you want them to absorb just enough liquid to become soft but not mushy. Arrange the dipped ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a dish or individual serving cups.

            6. Layer the Cream Mixture:
Once the ladyfingers are in place, spread half of the mascarpone-hazelnut cream mixture over them. Smooth the mixture into an even layer using a spatula. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and then the remaining cream mixture.

              7. Chill the Tiramisu:
Once the tiramisu is fully assembled, cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 60 minutes. This resting time allows the flavors to meld together, making the tiramisu even more delicious and creamy.

                8. Garnish and Serve:
Just before serving, garnish the tiramisu with a drizzle of hazelnut cream (Nutella). You can also add some chopped hazelnuts or cocoa powder for extra flavor and decoration.

This Nutella Tiramisu is a decadent twist on the classic Italian dessert. The rich hazelnut cream adds a chocolatey, nutty flavor that elevates the traditional mascarpone filling. With its smooth texture and delightful layers, this dessert is perfect for any occasion. The best part? It’s incredibly easy to prepare and requires no baking!

Enjoy your creamy, indulgent Nutella Tiramisu!
