Ingredients:
Base:
- 200g ground chocolate cookies (preferably digestive or cocoa biscuits)
- 100g melted butter
Cream:
- 300g heavy cream (whipping cream)
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
- 1 packet of instant gelatin
- 100g melted white chocolate
- 100g chocolate shavings (dark or milk chocolate)
Glaze:
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100g heavy cream
- 30g butter
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Base:
- In a bowl, combine the ground chocolate cookies and the melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated in butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan, making it compact and smooth. Place the pan in the refrigerator to allow the crust to set.
2. Prepare the Cream:
- Whip the heavy cream with the vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract) until soft peaks form.
- Add the instant gelatin to the whipped cream and mix well.
- Melt the white chocolate and let it cool slightly. Add it to the whipped cream mixture and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the chocolate shavings.
- Pour the cream mixture onto the chilled cookie base, smooth it out, and refrigerate until set.
3. Prepare the Glaze:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate, heavy cream, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth.
- Let the glaze cool slightly before pouring it over the set cream layer.
- Return the torte to the refrigerator to set the glaze.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
- Once fully chilled, remove from the springform pan and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish if desired.
- Slice and enjoy!
