Stracciatella cake, simple, quick and phenomenally delicious, no baking required!

Ingredients:

Base:

  • 200g ground chocolate cookies (preferably digestive or cocoa biscuits)
  • 100g melted butter

Cream:

  • 300g heavy cream (whipping cream)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
  • 1 packet of instant gelatin
  • 100g melted white chocolate
  • 100g chocolate shavings (dark or milk chocolate)

Glaze:

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g heavy cream
  • 30g butter

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Base:

  • In a bowl, combine the ground chocolate cookies and the melted butter. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated in butter.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan, making it compact and smooth. Place the pan in the refrigerator to allow the crust to set.

    2. Prepare the Cream:

    • Whip the heavy cream with the vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract) until soft peaks form.
    • Add the instant gelatin to the whipped cream and mix well.
    • Melt the white chocolate and let it cool slightly. Add it to the whipped cream mixture and mix until smooth and creamy.
    • Stir in the chocolate shavings.
    • Pour the cream mixture onto the chilled cookie base, smooth it out, and refrigerate until set.

      3. Prepare the Glaze:

      • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate, heavy cream, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate and butter are melted and smooth.
      • Let the glaze cool slightly before pouring it over the set cream layer.
      • Return the torte to the refrigerator to set the glaze.

        4. Serve and Enjoy:

        • Once fully chilled, remove from the springform pan and transfer to a serving plate. Garnish if desired.
        • Slice and enjoy!
