Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 120g white chocolate
- 120g cream cheese
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Place the egg whites in a bowl and refrigerate them.
- Chop the white chocolate into small pieces.
2. Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
3. Melt the Chocolate:
- Melt the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method).
4. Whisk the Egg Whites:
- Whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
5. Mix the Chocolate and Cream Cheese:
- Add the cream cheese to the melted white chocolate and stir until smooth and well combined.
- Add the 3 egg yolks to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
6. Fold in the Egg Whites:
- Gradually fold in the egg whites, about a third at a time, until fully incorporated into the batter.
7. Prepare the Pan:
- Line a 15 cm (6-inch) cake pan with parchment paper and butter the edges.
8. Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Tap the pan gently on the counter a few times to remove any air bubbles.
- Place the cake pan into a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water (creating a water bath).
- Bake the cake for 15 minutes at 170°C, then reduce the temperature to 160°C and bake for another 15 minutes.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cake inside for an additional 15 minutes.
9. Cool and Serve:
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
- Once cool, dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
